Our Program
Training physicians to become leaders who improve the health of their community
We are proud to introduce our newly ACGME – accredited Family Medicine Residency Program located in the heart of northern rural New Hampshire. The White Mountains Medical Education Consortium (WMMEC) is a collaborative effort between Coos County Family Health Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and North Country Healthcare a regional healthcare provider composed of three critical access hospitals and a home health and hospice/palliative care agency. This innovative program is designed to address the unique healthcare needs of our region while training the next generation of family physicians. Rooted in a mission of service, access, and community engagement, our residency offers comprehensive, full-spectrum training in a rural setting, preparing physicians to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to underserved populations. The Family Medicine Residency Program is designed to train future physicians to become community leaders who will help to improve the health of their rural communities.
